Upon reading that the guitarist of the band Rilo Kiley, some guy named Blake Sennett, is engaged to Winona Ryder, I also found out that Sennett and the lead singer of the band, Jenny Lewis, are former child actors. Lewis, in fact, was in one of my favorite movies back in the day, Troop Beverly Hills…
Wait, I found out she was in Pleasantville too. I have to watch that again.
I have one of Rilo Kiley’s albums on my iPod and I have Jenny Lewis’ solo CD somewhere. I can’t say that I’m a huge fan, but I’ve enjoyed the music I’ve heard by them. I know that my sister and brother-in-law celebrate their entire catalogue. But I’m not sure what I should be more surprised at…that the guitarist of a band that still is relatively under the radar is going to marry an A-list actress or that two band members are former child stars.
